When Philosophy of Technology Faces Auditory Culture

Philosophy of Technology and Auditory Culture are two paths to explore sound and hearing. How to understand sound? How to understand noise and silence? For the understanding of relevant theories and concepts, each area has its own way of interpretation. It is a consensus in the international area of Sound Studies that the study of sound requires interdisciplinary perspective, theories and methods. When the philosophy of technology meets auditory culture, can a unique way of approaching sound and hearing be achieved in an interdisciplinary dialogue?
