Nikolaos Mavropoulos

Nikolaos Mavropoulos

Nikolaos has spent time as a student, researcher, or visiting fellow in Greece (Aristotle University), Italy (Sapienza University and EUI), England (SOAS), Japan (Kyushu Daigaku), Netherlands (Leiden University), and Germany (HWK) . He is a member of EAJS (European Association for Japanese Studies), EISA (European International Studies Association), and of ASMI (Association for the Study of Modern Italy). Before joining the Society of Fellows in The Liberal Arts (SUSTech) he worked at Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg Institute for Advanced Study, Delmenhorst, Bremen, Germany.  His research interests revolve around Imperial antagonists, colonialism, and contemporary and modern history in a global context.
