Srikanth Thaliyakkattil is currently a Junior Fellow in the Society of Fellows in the Liberal Arts, Center for Social Sciences at the Southern University of Science and Technology. Prior to his appointment at Southern University of Science and Technology he was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute of South Asian Studies, National University of Singapore, where his primary task was to analyse Chinese perceptions and policies in the South Asian region. Apart from his core research interest in China-South Asia relation, he also has avid interest in East Asian Studies, Religion and Politics, as well as Security Studies. Srikanth Thaliyakkattil received his PhD from the School of International Studies, Peking University. In his PhD thesis he analysed the Indian perceptions of China over the last century through a political psychology framework. His work has appeared in reputed Chinese and English academic publications.
